SILVERTOWN UPDATE: APPLICATION FOR PHASE 1 OF SILVERTOWN SUBMITTED TO NEWHAM COUNCIL

We are pleased to announce that we have now submitted the detailed planning application for Phase 1 of Silvertown to Newham Council. This follows more than six months of discussion and consultation with the community to help shape the plans. We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your involvement in the process so far and we hope you stay involved as our plans progress.

Phase 1 of Silvertown will include an exciting mix of brand spaces, workspaces, homes, shops, cafés, bars and restaurants to create a unique waterfront destination with Millennium Mills at its heart. Our proposals will deliver:

  • Refurbishment and reinvention of Millennium Mills to create a vibrant new East London destination with exhibition space, cafés and dining as well as workspaces for new businesses
  • 943 new homes
  • A substantial new public square by Millennium Mills with the potential for curated events as well as everyday enjoyment
  • A new community green next to Silo D and the water for leisure and relaxing or small events
  • Improved pedestrian routes and access to the dock edge
  • New shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and community spaces
  • Benefits for local people through learning, skilling and employment opportunities
  • We will continue to keep you updated as our plans progress and let you know about future opportunities to get involved with Silvertown.

If you would like to view the full planning application documents, they are available on Newham Council’s website.
