Revised Masterplan Planning Application

The Silvertown Partnership will be submitting a revised hybrid planning application for the Silvertown site. This application will include an outline planning application for the site's wider masterplan and a detailed planning application for Phase 1 of the project (the most western part of the site).

Throughout the past two years, the team have been hard at work revising the previously proposed master plan. This includes a 15% increase in affordable homes (from 35% to 50% by hab. room), the introduction of London Affordable Rent as our affordability benchmark, a reduced total amount of office space, and a greater diversity of workplace (including public showcase areas, office space, shed space, and retail space).

Over the next few months, we will be sharing with you our proposals for the revised masterplan for the Silvertown site. Overall, this masterplan and associated regeneration programme will deliver:

  • The transformation of a site that has been derelict for 30 years.
  • Deliver more new homes, including more affordable homes more quickly.
  • New workplaces yielding 14,000 jobs.
  • Significant new public open spaces that connect with the water.
  • Town centre amenities.
  • Public buildings and heritage assets.
  • A 15-minute district that responds to the lessons learnt from the pandemic.

This page will be updated with more information about the revised masterplan and how you can get involved in shaping the plan in due course.

We anticipate that this application will be submitted by the end of Summer 2022.
