News on Silvertown

Dear Silvertown Community Members,

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting three workshops with small groups of community members and the project team to work collaboratively and co-develop a Design Code framework for Silvertown:

1. A Town Centre in Silvertown (Wednesday, May 11th, 18:30 - 20:00): This workshop will focus on creating a hypothetical high street for Silvertown and explore what types of uses would best cater to Silvertown's diverse communities.

2. Searching for Silvertown (Saturday, May 14th, 11:00 - 15:00; lunch and refreshments provided): This workshop will involve a guided walkabout the Silvertown area, discussions about the area's context and identity, and how this can be represented in the new development.

3. Streetscape and Water Uses (Wednesday, May 18th, 18:30 - 20:00): This workshop will focus on exploring connections within Silvertown and the Royal Docks, the site's relationship with water, and how the waterfront can be activated.

These workshops will be your opportunity to feed directly into the Design Code framework and ensure high quality development that reflects the needs of the Royal Docks and Newham.

We are accepting a maximum of 15 attendees for each workshop, on a first come first serve basis.

All workshops will take place locally and the venue will be confirmed once each workshop is filled.
